This class is a work at your own pace workshop. Please feel free to actively participate or to quietly work on your own. It's all up to you and your own comfort level!

You can access all of the class handouts, 2 instruction sheets on making 2 journals, 181 journal prompts, 6 collage sheets, my sample journal pages, collage templates (a pdf file with 25 different collage templates for you to follow) on our yahoo group in the files section. There is a video here that explains how the templates should be used. The files are pdf and jpeg.

It is up to you if you work in a journal or individual pages. I prefer working in a journal that I've made, I like my students working in whatever method is most comfortable to them.

Some students like to experiment with the collage templates and then do the journal prompts. Some students don't use the journal prompts, but love working with the composition/design techniques of the collage prompts. Some students don't use the collage prompts, but love the different journal prompts. It is all up to you! Nothing is labeled or dated, so you can pick and choose as you go what you prefer to work with.

I printed out the collage templates and cut them down into little cards that fit into a regular size altoid tin. I can carry them with me to experiment and play around with scraps of paper and a glue stick. Remember, if you turn the templates in different directions that gives you even more possibilities!
